Do-It-Yourself Tessellation Project: Easy Paper+Pencil Equilateral Triangle Spin Method
Step 7 of 28: Fold "mama".
Fold the triangle in half so 2 angles meet and one side is bisected.
The fold should go straight through one point of the triangle, and straight through the middle of the triangle-side opposide that point. This will split the equilateral triangle into two "right" triangles. The "right" triangles are equivalent: equal sizes, equal angles, equal sides.
