Andrew says, "I was making a last minute shape and after I tessellated it, it sort of looked like toasters and I drew in details and Viola! Toasters!"

I'm particularly interested to see this tessellation because I often use toasters as an example of a tessellation theme that's too difficult for beginners (because it's a rigid, familiar, inflexible shape).



The coloring and outline are strong and help the audience separate one tile from the others. Well done, Andrew.

One thing to watch out for, though: the definition of a tessellation is that it mustn't have, nor imply, any overlapping. NO OVERLAPPING ALLOWED. This is Andrew's first try at a tessellation, so we should be as forgiving and encouraging as possible, but this piece does have overlaps. Let's look forward to Andrew's next tessellation, and everybody remember: no overlapping, please!
