VERY HAIRY ROBOTS

This tessellation shows translational (slide) symmetry.

Despite each robot "tile"'s different hairstyle inside each robot-head shape, the "tile" (tile = repeating shape) outline very neatly, precisely reproduced and fits with all the other tiles perfectly, without gaps or overlaps. That's what a proper tessellation does.

If I offer any constructive criticism, it's this: I wish Jacob had added robot bodies. Although robot heads often appear without their bodies-- especially in "Alien" science fiction movies directed by Scott Ridley-- the audience might say "The bodies aren't there, or they're hidden behind the other robot heads. That would be a violation of the rules of tessellation."
