HAPPY KING, SAD KING

This tessellation shows translational (slide) symmetry.

The "tiles" (tile = repeating shape in a tessellation) fall into two categories: identical left-facing "sad" kings, and identical right-facing "happy" kings. We can only assume that they're happy to be kings, but sad that they don't live in a democracy but instead live in a realm governed by people whose only claim to power and responsibility is their parents' names and inherited- not earned- wealth.

If I offer any constructive criticism, it's this: Where are the bodies? Are these beheaded kings, like during the French revolution? Or, are they hidden behind the other heads? (That would be "overlapping", which is a no-no in tessellation art.)
